Dingač – The Iconic Croatian Plavac Mali
Dingač is one of Croatia’s most celebrated red wines, crafted exclusively on the steep, sun-drenched slopes of the Pelješac Peninsula. Made from the indigenous Plavac Mali grape, Dingač carries the unique character of its dramatic terroir—rugged karst soils, intense Mediterranean heat, and the shimmering reflection of the Adriatic Sea.
This powerful, full-bodied wine is known for its deep ruby color, rich aromas of dark berries, dried figs, and Mediterranean herbs, and a long, warming finish with hints of spice, chocolate, and oak. The extreme terrain where the grapes grow—some vineyards at gradients up to 70%—demands hand harvest and minimal yields, resulting in exceptional concentration and complexity.
Aged traditionally in wooden barrels, Dingač embodies both tradition and authenticity. It is bold, structured, and elegant, making it a perfect companion to grilled meats, aged cheeses, lamb dishes, and hearty Dalmatian cuisine.
Dingač is more than a wine—it is a symbol of Croatian heritage and craftsmanship. Every bottle captures the raw beauty of Pelješac and the centuries-old dedication of the local winemakers.
